It’s one thing to read about tubing in Vang Vieng, but it’s another thing to see it in action. It’s a crazy, wild time! Armed with a group of awesome people we met along the way, Tristan and I had a blast letting loose and floating down the river.

We will be in Laos next week and we were thinking of skipping Vang Vieng due to time constraints. But after seeing your awesome video. We might reconsider.

I would definitely recommend making the stop in Vang Vieng if you are looking for a little healthy insanity on your trip. If you are more of a laid back type traveler who isn’t into rambunctious crowds, either skip Vang Vieng… or better yet… go, and when you go tubing just skip the first cluster of bars. Things get much more relaxed and chilled out the further down the river you go. For most people, Vang Vieng is a top Laos experience.
